Then, gather a good-sized army, cross your fingers, cancel your alliance with Austria and declare war. Good relations with Russia and Great-Britain will increase the chances of them choosing your side so send them a gift or two to persuade them. If not, prepare for a break with Austria. If possible, let France capture it so you can take it and keep your alliance with Austria. If it becomes too high you can always liberate some of the states, but take a moment first to consider if you need the city to train and/or replenish troops.Īs your kingdom is growing you’ll need to start looking at your victory conditions, which include Prague. Do take your time to prevent alienating your allies too much by expanding quickly.

Keep conquering independent German states to work towards victory. Your armed forces are god enough as they are, since you start with Fire & Advance researched, so focus on increasing your income to afford a larger army. Try to maintain good relations with them, so get a Trade Agreement and send them a gift if they start to dislike you.

You won’t need much of their lands for victory so alliances won’t get in your way for the time being. With possible enemies on all sides some diplomatic protection is very welcome as Prussia, so try to ally with Austria, Russia and Great-Britain (and Sweden if possible) before you do anything else. Below I’ll outline a strategy in which you join the Coalition so you can focus on uniting Germany.
